G4S Welfare to Work Welfare to Work Delivering support through a range of partners…

Who are G4S?  Second largest private employer in the world – over 700,000 employees working in 125+ countries  UK & Ireland’s largest security solutions group, employing over 50,000 people on 313 sites  Currently delivers 5,000 contracts across public and private sector as well as managing supply chains worth in excess of £250 million  Have a Welfare to Work Division delivering £250m of services for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)  Operating in Northern Ireland for over 40 years with c2,500 staff and 5 bases

Welfare to Work at G4S  We manage three GB Work Programme contracts:  Greater Manchester, Cheshire & Warrington  Kent, Surrey & Sussex  North East Yorkshire & the Humber  We were the most successful new entrant in the welfare-to-work sector  We are one of the largest welfare-to-work service providers in the UK

What we believe…  No one organisation has the range of skills and experiences necessary to support every jobseeker back into decent, sustained employment  The only way to help people into work is to partner with a network of the very best local partners from the private, voluntary and public sectors  A 100% subcontracted delivery model means that if our subcontractors fail, we fail. If they succeed, we succeed. We are genuinely in this together  A Prime Contractor must show what it is doing for its money. We have to add more value than we take out

Welfare to Work at G4S  We deliver through a 100% subcontracted network of proven local and national specialists

The Work Programme: Manchester, Cheshire and Warrington

The Work Programme: Kent, Surrey and Sussex

The Work Programme: North Yorkshire and Humberside

Overview of progress to date…  £5 million already given in up-front funding to voluntary sector partners  12,000 people already supported into employment  £54 million in annualised benefit savings realised for the taxpayer  Excellent – and improving - performance in both programme delivery and governance  Added value through: contract management; underpinning MI/Reporting systems; partner support; NI employer & stakeholder relationships, etc

What our partners say about us…  ‘Our experience has been of a genuine partner able to add value through their supply chain management expertise, committed to quality, challenging us to surpass our best but recognising and rewarding our achievements’ – Jerry Stokes, Chief Executive, Work Solutions  ‘G4S fully support us and are flexible and responsive in order to meet our needs. They understand the differences between a small charity and larger private organisations and adapt their management accordingly for the benefit of everyone.’ - Kathy Thomas, CEO, Rochdale Connections Trust
