5. ORIGINAL SIN Not that there was an “original sin” But that this sin, or the guilt of it, has passed to all generations since Adam The error ranges from “sin nature” to “total hereditary depravity”

13. RESULT OF ORIGINAL SIN ERROR It led to the condemnation of infants to hell. This led to baptism of infants. From this the idea had to be dealt with that Jesus must have inherited this from Mary. Therefore, Mary must have had a miraculous birth also in order to be without it. Calvin went much farther, giving it the description “Total Hereditary Depravity.”

14. RESULT OF ORIGINAL SIN ERROR This has led to the error that we cannot understand the Scriptures without Holy Spirit inspiration (or the help of someone who has it) None of these things are taught in the Scriptures.

15. THE SOLUTION? Go back to the New Testament and… (2 Tim 1:13 NKJV) Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.
