2 Concrete Nouns Remember that nouns are people, places, things and ideas. Most people, places or things are considered concrete- that is it is possible to see it, touch it, smell it, or taste it.

3 Abstract Nouns “Ideas” are the category of nouns that are more abstract- that is they are intangible. Ideas only exist in the mind as defined by other ideas or concepts. You cannot touch, see, smell, or taste an idea.
