5 Integers Definition The whole numbers and their opposites. Positive and Negative whole numbers. No fractions or decimals. Examples

6 Rational Numbers Definition Numbers of the form a/b, where a and b are integers and b does not equal 0 Positive and negative numbers. Fractions, mixed numbers, decimals, and repeating decimals Examples

7 Irrational Numbers Definition A number that can not be expressed as a/b, where a and b are integers and b does not equal 0 Decimals that will never repeat or terminate. Numbers with no pattern Examples
