Stronger Diversion Strengthen Families and Reentry Collaboration and Wrap Around Recommend evidence- based Diversion programs, survey agencies District 3 will develop an effective evidence-based family peer-to-peer program Evaluate and review current offender and family programs to ensure that they are evidence-based; research evidence- based programs depending on needs in District 3 Research and identify current stakeholders and their practices Each District will gather information regarding successful and unsuccessful reintegration efforts, including treatment successes and those that incorporate positive youth outcomes, to send to key stakeholders (from statewide reintegration plan) District 3 will research, promote, and expand available programs to teach youth life skills in and out of the system District 3 will research and promote resiliency and interaction between parents and their child Recommend Wrap Around approaches to youth-serving agencies Recommend the adoption of resiliency, family peer-to-peer and life skills programs to agencies Appropriately identify youth that will benefit from a diversion program and further identify those that do not meet the criteria and are returned to the courts Develop an ongoing forum in District 5 to collaboratively problem solve cross system this is also a recommendation Research and identify effective, evidence-based approaches for implementing a wrap around model

Strategic Area: Strengthen Families and Reentry Goal: All parents/guardians are engaged in their child’s life Objective A: District 3 will develop an effective evidence-based family peer-to-peer program Objective B: District 3 will research and promote resiliency and interaction between parents and their child Goal #2: All youth exiting the system in District 3 have the opportunity to acquire life skills to successfully live on their own Objective A: District 3 will research, promote, and expand available programs to teach youth life skills in and out of the system

Strategic Area: Stronger Diversion Goal: Agencies of District 3 are provided resources and support to develop a consistent screening tool to facilitate an effective diversion process Objective A: Appropriately identify youth that will benefit from a diversion program and further identify those that do not meet the criteria and are returned to the courts Goal #2: Agencies of District 3 are using evidence-based programs for the offender and the family Objective A: Evaluate and review current offender and family programs to ensure that they are evidence-based; research evidence-based programs depending on needs in District 3
