10. 10 J-6251 DLMSO DODAAD Reengineering Good News: DODAAD CSP users SOP developed/distributed Navy testing DODAAD re-time update application, goal is to go live in Nov and eliminate Navy batch inputs Discussions with GSA indicate that they may be willing to move to real-time process during FY07 rather than FY08 Initiated a PDC for addition of “Authority Codes” to DLMS Robust Query Requirements developed; DAASC beginning Work, incremental monthly releases of added functionality New feed of DODAAD data to FedReg put in place eliminating full daily file overlays Real-time Application Access: implemented for BSM, 1 Oct In-process for DLIS, USTRANSCOM, AF SBSS, Marine Corps Albany, NOLSC, and WAWF Areas of Concern: OSD BTA Funding Support (BTA provided $230K on Sept. 30, 2005, $700K requested for 2007) Recommendation: DLA strongly support DODAAD submission to BTA for funding under Materiel Visibility initiatives GOAL: Alleviate / Eliminate Frustrated / Misdirected Warfighter materiel Highlights: FY07 Planned Efforts – based on PRC priorities Assist Navy and GSA in migrating to Web updates and eliminate batch transactions Continue providing real-time access to DOD Component application systems Improve data quality through additional edits authoritative source tables and drop down menus Develop robust DODAAD query, reports, and download application Rewrite and reissue DODAAD Manual Develop DODAAD Training Program Continue work with BTA & DLIS Master Data Initiative OPR: Jackie Carter Linkage: BT, BEP, BSM, SFIS, Egov Initiatives

11. 11 Short Term: USPS table to validate correlation of City/State/Zip code Longer Term: Improve Drop Down Menu as below: 1.US or Non-US 1.US 1.State Names 1.Cities in the State (Narrowed by typing in first series of letters – AKA “Hunts” would bring back “Huntsville” and maybe others in Alabama beginning with “Hunts” for selection by the CSP and entry into the database.) 2.Drop down of Zip Codes for Huntsville, Alabama 2.Non-US 1.Country Name 1.Cities in the Country (Narrowed by typing in first series of letters) 2.Drop down of International ZIPS if a good source can be found  Override choice if the CSP needs to key enter the name/zip  USTRANSCOM city name tables would be the source of drop down choices  Consistency between the USTRANSCOM Tables and the DODAAD on Country and City name would open up other data --- specifically we could map to the APOD, WPODs, GEOLOCs, etc. Drop Down Menu Cascade For Greater Accuracy and Consistency of City Names and Zip Codes
