5 The Attack December 7, 1941 Surprise attack Over 2,400 killed & 1,178 more wounded 19 ships damaged & over 300 aircraft destroyed. Attack took the US officially into World War II.

6 Loyalty of Japanese Americans questioned. Fears of spies and sabotage. Rural prison camps. German- Americans and Italian Americans imprisoned

7 Jigsaw Get into groups. Read article. Think about the main points of treatment of these groups. Question to consider: –What is significant about how these groups were treated? Write your answer on your poster and place on wall.
