12 F ACTS Grasslands have some of the darkest, richest soils in the world. Some grasslands get 10 inches of rain others get 50 inches of rain. Grassland in South America are called pampas. Some grasses grow 6 to 9 feet tall. Grasslands a quarter of the world.
