2 EMERSON Emerson is a diversified global manufacturing company.  Provides innovative solutions to customers in the following areas:  Process Management  Industrial Automation  Network Power  Climate Technologies  Commercial & Residential Solutions ​

3 Goal  Emerson 24Vdc Monitor.  This device will monitor for 24Vdc. Upon a decrease or increase of 5% of 24Vdc the device will record.  Measurements include: Amplitude of the voltage Duration of the change in voltage Time at which the change occurred, and provide a waveform of the collected data.  Remote Access

4 Why our Solution?  Current Market Low End – Does not cover parameters ○ Lowest Cost of $200 ○ Can only Monitor and either, shutoff, or sound alarm ○ Sample rate is much lower High End – Prohibit Expensive for purpose ○ Highest Cost of up $4000 ○ Comes with other tools and options not needed ○ Comes as an package with other tools ○ Bulky

5 Required Equipment  The system we consist of:  The Arduino Uno  Built in ADC  Voltage Divider Circuit  Tested with National Instruments ELVIS Board

6 Arduino Uno Arduino Uno is ideal for the design due to:  Operating Voltage:5V  Input Voltage: 7-12V  Digital I/O Pins: 14  PWM Digital I/O Pins: 6  Analog Input Pins: 6  Clock Speed: 16MHz

7 Data Processing  The Arduino Uno will continuously take voltage values using it’s built in ADC  A timer is used to schedule interrupts  The timer is determined by the desired sample rate  When recordings are above or below +-5% of the threshold voltage (24V) the Arduino will store them on the SD card

8 Testing the Voltage Monitor  Using the National Instruments Elvis Board the max sampling rate of the system was found to be 40kHz  This system accurately captured a signal of 10kHz at 40kHz sampling rate.
