1 Preparation of the body T.R.O.S Time Related Observation Schedule

2 ( Page 11) The Time Related Observation Schedule is an excellent tool in determining the point of deterioration, within a performance. When analysing performance, a peer or coach/teacher will complete a T.R.O.S. By marking a (  ) for successful shots performed, or a (x) for unsuccessful shots performed, an individuals overall performance can be rated. Each (  ) or (x) is placed on the sheet within the time frame that it was performed. This allows us to analyse exactly where any weakness in performance is and exactly when the deterioration takes place during a match. It is also beneficial to the performer to include other skills/techniques, so that it is possible to see how the skill level has been affected by the passing of time

3 Fitness Testing standardised fitness tests. Indications of your strength and weaknesses can now be verified by the use of standardised fitness tests. These take the form of recognised tests that measure different aspects of fitness. Your results are compared against Standardised norms and a rating is given. A low score will tend to indicate that this aspect of fitness is a weakness and needs improvement. A high score will tend to indicate that this aspect is a strength and should be maintained at this level. It is important that;  The fitness test is relevant to the identified weakness  The test protocol is followed correctly, to ensure that the data is worthwhile, reliable and valid  The results are clearly recorded for later comparison
