4. Dress Wore expensive cap the popes and doctors would wear. Wore thick, bell-shaped robs that were so splendid he looked like a pope instead of a poor friar.

5. Reason for going on the pilgrimage The pilgrimage is when everyone is moving forward to a new place. It is very busy and important event. Many people are getting married or confessing all of a sudden and the Friar is needed to fulfill those task. He is known for befriending many people, especially young women or men to help them in their services.

6. Does Chaucer approve of this character, or does he indicate that he had failed his faith? Chaucer indicated that the Friar has failed in his faith. Chaucer explains by telling in the prologue that the Friar stills all of the belongings that he is supposed to give to the poor and widows.

7. Faults this character might have according to Chaucer In the prologue Chaucer explains the Friar as a very greedy man. The Friar cares to much about his appearance, and how much and items he has.
