4 EFSHAR CIRCLE SUNDAY SCHOOL An Opening the Doors and Friendship Circle Collaboration OPENING THE DOORS – DOORS TO THE FUTURE Early Childhood Para educators work individually with diverse learners at no additional cost

5 Weaving a TallitPreparing for a Bar Mitzvah Opening the Doors – Diverse learners participate in Jewish education with their peers, at no additional cost

6 Opening the Doors School Inclusion Program (SIP) Full time class room assistants and consultants assist diverse learners so they are fully included in a day school education with their peers.

8 Opening the Doors Specialized Enhanced Learning Collaboration(SELC) Grant program that provides: Professional development certificate program, psycho- educational testing, speech/language, occupational consultation for Day School students. OTD Special Educator Network participate in professional development.

9 Opening the Doors - B’yadenu Project Team Detroit day school administrators were invited to Boston to replicate a successful program in our community. Administrators will be collaborating on professional development so that all learners will be successful.

10 Opening the Doors Harold Wade Madrichim Leadership Program (MLI) Teen leadership training program that raises awareness and empowers congregational religious school teens with leadership and communication skills, disability awareness and practical strategies to help students with diverse challenges participate with their peers.

11 Opening the Doors Disability Awareness and Resources Conferences Anita Naftaly Family Circle Conference, Jewish Disability Awareness and Inclusion Month movie and book events - Joining with communities across North America to recognize, raise awareness and increase understanding of the needs of those with disabilities.

13 OPENING THE DOORS – Jewish education for ALL learners. TOGETHER, We increase inclusion and engagement by providing meaningful and rewarding Jewish education for all learners and their peers. TOGETHER - We build community – by empowering teachers, teens and families. TOGETHER – We convene collaborations – by working together to design innovative programs that have created unimaginable moments for families making dreams come true, they may not have through possible. “No matter what our personal challenges are, we all need to learn. I feel that everyone should have the same opportunity to learn and to develop their own spiritual belief as I did, starting as early as possible.” -Max Granitz
