5 Eligibility The following organisations / bodies will be eligible for Community Forum Budget funding: Voluntary & Community Sector organisations constituted local groups and charities (including social enterprises, but excluding political groups) Parish Councils, Local Authorities and other statutory agencies The Leicestershire Sustainable Community Strategy priorities are: Supporting Individuals and families Delivering effective services Protecting our environment Improving our communities Enhancing children’s lives Developing our economy

6 Criteria Funding for new or existing projects… APPROPRIATE -not duplicate existing services -provide value for money - link to priorities of the Leicestershire Sustainable Community Strategy & Big Society aspirations FEASIBLE Led by an eligible organisation /body that is able to deliver the project by March 2013 SUSTAINABLE Projects need to provide some lasting or longer term benefits for the area (or part of it).

7 Outline of the Process Stage 1Submission of Project Proposals Deadline: Lutterworth, Broughton Astley & Rural West: Thursday 26 th April 2012 Stage 2Inviting comments on the project proposals From: Friday 27 th April 2012 www.leicestershireforums.org/cfb Stage 3 Community Forum Budget Decision Night: 17 th May 2012 (6.00 - 9pm) NB: Booking is ESSENTIAL and starts on Friday 27 th April 2012 Stage 4Final project approval & project delivery September 2012 to March 31 st 2013

8 Key differences in process Criteria Maximum amount funded per project: £ 5,000 Only one proposal per group per forum. Decision Night Format of evening has changed to enable more interaction between delegates. Prioritisation will still happen through voting by delegates, but - 4 spaces reserved for each Project (was 2 spaces) - Additional spaces will be available by pre-registration only & will be open to all local residents on a first come, first served basis. Expert Panel A panel of officers from a range of partners will provide feedback on each project at the Decision Night.
