3. Chris was born in Malta December 15,1954. Chris D’lacey is a well known English author. He wrote a book series called the Last Dragon Chronicles. He lived in Leicaster England. The first Dragon chronicle book he wrote was called The Fire Within. He wrote the book as a gift for his wife Jay. Some of his hobbies included playing the electric guitar and writing songs. Chris D’lacey never thought about being an author. When he was a teenager he wanted to be a rockstar. He also wanted to write songs and compose them. Many of D’lacey’s picture and chapter books for young readers have animals. David’s first novels for young readers was based on his expeirence of Saving a pigeon from a local park. D’lacey was about the age of 32 years old when he wrote his first children’s story. Called “A Hole At The Pole.” He entered his book in a contest, even though he did not win the contest. 4. Chris has published 22 books including nine novels. His first novel called Fly,Cherokee,Fly was highly commended for the 1999 Carnegie Medal. The dragon chronicles is about a 20 year old man named David Rain. David lives at the Pennykettle residence, they have a den upstairs and David was always wondering what it is called. It is called the Dragon’s Den. David tries to get in at times but he can’t. The only reason he wants to go in is because the Pennykettles make clay dragons but are actually real. There are 7 books in The Last Dragon Chronicles. The Fire Within is the 1 st book. Icefire is the 2 nd book. Fire star is the 3 rd book. The Fire Eternal is the 4 th book. Dark Fire is the 5 th book.
