Established chain of knowledge

Improvement

Synthesis of carbon host matrix Results achieved: 1.Improved cycling 2.Higher sulphur conversion 3.Cheap materials (< 5 EUR/kg) 4.Sustainable precursors

Selective separators Functionalization of graphene oxide to prepare separator layer with hydrophobic properties

Novel types of electrolytes 1. Use of ionic liquids 2. Improved cyclability and coulombic efficiency 3. TRL-level 3-4 (1L of electrolyte delivered for prototypes by Solvionic)

Prototype assembly and tests Cells are assembled at Saft. Cells are charged by using constant current charge and discharged in different conditions and temperatures including DST macro-cycle and tested by Renault.

Continuation of the research activities
