2 Introduction This is our project about Roman Schools, It will include a lot of things such as who went to school, what was a school was like in the Roman ages . By watching this power point we hope you will learn something and we hope you enjoy our project. Please enjoy!

3 Content Who went to school in the Roman Empire? What was school like?
What was taught at school? What games did Romans play – adults and children? Extra things and even a bibliography

4 Who went to school in Roman Empire?
Rich boys Must older than 7 Girls were not allowed to go to school Poor children also couldn’t go to school Now we will be learning… This is so boring!

5 What were Roman schools like?
Very small Roman schools. Some were in the villas. They only had one classroom. One teacher. One-room schools.

6 What was taught in the school?
Taught to read and write. Latin and Greek. History and astronomy. Not too much mathematics. Some boys were taught to join an army. They learned to be physical and to be tactical. Girls could only read and write.

7 What games did Romans play – Children and Adults?
Romans played lots of games. Board games War games; wooden sword fights, wrestling. Tag; micare, mora and Heads or Ships. Roman boys mostly played the war games. Girls didn’t play that many games. Argh! Lose already

8 When did Roman children leave school?
Roman children left school at 12. They would join the army or settle down. Girls stopped learning to read and write at twelve. Roman children became teenagers at 14. Yay! I`m a teenager now!
