Water’s freezing point and melting point are both at 0° Celsius.
Just ask yourself, “Is the temperature getting warmer or colder?”

5. Freezing vs. Melting
Freezing occurs when enough heat is removed to cause a phase change.
Melting occurs when enough heat is added to cause a phase change from solid to liquid.
FUN FACT: Sometimes the difference in temperature between ice and liquid water may be 1 degree Celsius!

6. Caution Hot! Boiling Point of Water
The boiling point of water is at 100° Celsius.
