Outline Review of TSS training schedule Review of TSS technical work Review of project budget Demo of new features –Reasonable Progress page –Modifications to selected tools

WRAP Technical Information Centers Visibility Information Exchange Web System (VIEWS): VIEWS provides on-line access to monitoring data, research results and special studies related to visibility. http://vista.cira.colostate.edu/views/ http://vista.cira.colostate.edu/views/ Regional Modeling Center: The WRAP’s Regional Modeling Center at the University of California Riverside provides state and tribal agencies with sophisticated modeling of regional haze in the Western United States. http://pah.cert.ucr.edu/aqm/308/http://pah.cert.ucr.edu/aqm/308/ Emissions Data Management System: An emission inventory data warehouse for states and tribes. The system provides a consistent, complete and regional approach to emissions data management and tracking. http://www.wrapedms.org/http://www.wrapedms.org/ Causes of Haze Assessment: A detailed analysis of ambient monitoring data for regional haze in the WRAP region. http://www.coha.dri.edu/http://www.coha.dri.edu/ The Technical Support System integrates a number of different information resources under one web-based umbrella. http://vista.cira.colostate.edu/tsshttp://vista.cira.colostate.edu/tss

IWG #1, February 15 –90 minute webinar format –Orientation to a small number of tools and documentation RPO introduction to the TSS, April 12 –Powerpoint presentation and discussion on RPO call –Stimulated some interest for further TSS review IWG #2, April 13 –Webinar format –Orientation to the “Reasonable Progress” page (re-work of the “Weight of Evidence Checklist”) TSS Training – Completed in 2007

VISTAS, May 29 –Webinar format –Purpose is to elicit broader RPO support CENRAP, May 31 –Identical format/purpose to VISTAS training Tribal, June 6 –Webinar format –Orientation to TSS updates since Dec. 2006 (particularly Methods and Reasonable Progress pages) TSS Orientation & Review Workshop, June 19-20 –In person training to broad audience –Review of monitoring, emissions, and modeling activities by WRAP –Three breakout training sessions (TSS analysis tools, TSS Reasonable Progress analysis, Fire Emissions Tracking System) TSS Training – Scheduled

WRAP data substitution project – completed –Reviewed on February 12 RPO call –Recently received request from ND to perform analysis on THRO1 Weighted Emissions Potential (WEP) project – in progress –Re-run of baseline back trajectories, select worst/best days – done –Re-generation of WEP maps – done –Tool redesign – in progress Visibility projections tool – under final review –Calculation of RRFs via multiple methods –Verification of the correct calculations Emissions display tool – in development –Interactive tool to display emissions (region, state, county) –Modify database structure to accept emissions data TSS Technical Work

2005 IMPROVE data upload – completed 2018 PRP run – in progress (due early June) –TSS to upload emissions and modeling results –WEP maps/data need to be generated Behind the scenes TSS “clean up” – ongoing –Designed to make the site more robust and able to be expanded TSS linkage with other data nodes – future work –Emissions Data Management System (EDMS) –Fire Emissions Tracking System (FETS) –NPS ozone data AoH Phase 2 document – in progress –Plan to use for June TSS Orientation and Review Workshop –Complete but relatively short, digestible user guide to the TSS TSS Technical Work (cont.)

Compilation of all “Methods” documents – completed –Monitoring (IMPROVE; Data Substitutions; Monitoring Metrics) –Emissions (Emissions Overview; Major Inventories) –Modeling (Air Quality; Back Trajectory) –Attribution Methods (PSAT; WEP) –Distilled these down to summaries of essential information Preparation of glossary/acronym list – completed –Will also be added to the TSS; used for tool tips Preparation of TSS tutorial – in progress –Full description of TSS; many screen captures and links –Will be up-to-date for the June workshop –How to use the TSS for demonstrating reasonable progress Original plan called for regional assessments (all data types) –Do we still want these, and what would they look like? AoH Phase 2 Document
