2. questionnaire. #Objectives 1 Given a direct tutorial video on the Haiku domain, students in the Ceramics class will be able to understand the use of the Pottery Wheel with 100% accuracy (Visual). 2 Given a direct tutorial video on the Haiku domain, students will become familiar with the Pottery Wheel by answering questions related to the video with 100% accuracy (Visual). 3 Given an e-Learning environment (Haiku), Students and teacher in the Ceramic class will collaborate and discuss answers to questions with precision. 4 Given a step-by-step tutorial in person, students in the Ceramic class will be able to understand the process of making a bowl by following along (Auditory/Kinesthetic). 5 Using videos, reviewing notes, and remembering the demonstration, students in the Ceramic class will be able to demonstrate understanding of the Pottery Wheel by creating a bowl (Kinesthetic). 6 Given an overview of the entire lesson, students in the Ceramic class will be assessed on the final product of their bowl and their collaborative work on the eLearning module.

3. Overall Project Design Haiku: An eLearning Environment for Ceramic Instruction Design choices : All slides will be presented by the instructor verbally. All slide will feature a variety of graphics, pictures, and information relating to the training. The module design will be based off the eLearning domain, Haiku. To view course materials a URL will be provided to get quick access to the learning domain. You can use the directional arrow ( ) with the mouse to point and highlight material that is being discussed in the module. There is access to video tutorials, questions relating to the video, and students can provide comments that can be easily viewed when clicking on the classroom. The module design will based off a template used in Microsoft Office Power Point 2007, the “Concourse” template to be exact. To view slides, locate on the top bar View, then click Slide Show. Haiku is a module that will be used for an aid to learn how to use the Pottery Wheel. Haiku will provide you with videos, questions, and materials used to better your learning. Students forget the tools and their use, forget the step-by-step process in creating a bowl, and forget crucial parts when designing their art piece resulting in a bowl with poor craftsmanship. There has been nothing but hands on activities involving the Pottery Wheel which only focus on the kinesthetic aspect of the lesson. By incorporating auditory and visual learning by displaying videos, questions, and exercising discussion and collaboration on Haiku, the goal is to aid all types of learners so they can get a better understanding of the ceramic technique. By also displaying videos, having subtitles, clear and large font, and having the online domain Haiku is available on any device that contain internet access, learners can have constant access to these resources so they can refer back and accommodations can be met for special needs. The Ceramics class is an introductory course, therefore no prerequisites, skill, or background is required in knowing how to complete the task of creating a bowl. The student is expected to follow the criteria of the lesson, stay focused, and be able to utilize information that the learners have been given to complete the task.
