Ministry Question then Sing a Little Song… Seeing needs around us helps us to be helpful to others. How do you think our eyes help our bodies care for others? Children Dismissed with “Be Careful Little Eyes…”

Ministry Jesus Saw People’s Needs 2 Corinthians 4:18 on page 1798 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Ministry Matthew 9:35-38 on page 1510 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Ministry Galatians 6:10 “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”

Ministry Matthew 25:34-40 on page 1542 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

Ministry Matthew 25:37-39 37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

Ministry Matthew 25:40 40 “The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’

Ministry Talking It Over When we see the needs of others, and meet them, we are serving God. What are some nice things we can do for each other and our neighbours? Having the eyes of Jesus helps us do these things.

Ministry Keep an Eye Out… This week look for opportunities to be kind to others. Ministry begins with perception but it comes from the heart. We will talk about that next week.
