5 SIDA5 Arcada was in 2004, as the first polytechnic in Finland, awarded the European ECTS quality label. The label requires e.g. - clear descriptions of what competence each degree programmes represents - a functioning system for recognition of studies and a transparent study structure During 2005 the degree programmes at Arcada have been streamlined with the aim of obtaining a clear structure and programmes that are easily comparable and easier to combine.
