God doesn’t forget those who serve the saints But recall the former days when, after you were enlightened, you endured a hard struggle with sufferings, sometimes being publicly exposed to reproach and affliction, and sometimes being partners with those so treated. For you had compassion on those in prison, and you joyfully accepted the plundering of your property, since you knew that you yourselves had a better possession and an abiding one. (Hebrews 10:32-34 ESV)

God promises an inheritance Abraham is evidence the God’s promises are good Inheritance is sure by 2 unchangeable things –God’s promise –and His oath Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, (1 Peter 1:3-4 ESV)

7. God promises an inheritance This inheritance comes with diligence, faith, and patience

We’re given hope as an anchor Desire + expectation = Hope …remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. (Ephesians 2:12 ESV) Gentiles…had been without hope!

9. We’re given hope as an anchor Desire + expectation = Hope And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied. (1 Corinthians 15:14, 17, 19 ESV)

We’re given hope as an anchor Desire + expectation = Hope Jesus IS our hope Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus our hope, (1 Timothy 1:1 ESV) And again Isaiah says,“The root of Jesse will come, even he who arises to rule the Gentiles; in him will the Gentiles hope.”(Romans 15:12 ESV)

11. We’re given hope as an anchor Desire + expectation = Hope Jesus IS our hope There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1 ESV)
