2 What hinders God from answering our prayers?  CONFLICT WITH EACH OTHER (Isaiah 58:4) Your fasting ends in quarreling and strife, and in striking each other with wicked fists. You cannot fast as you do today and expect your voice to be heard on high.  PURSUING FALSE GODS (Jeremiah 11:10-11) They have returned to the sins of their forefathers, who refused to listen to my words. They have followed other gods to serve them… Although they cry out to me, I will not listen to them.  MARRIAGE SINS (1 Peter 3:7) Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.

4 Waiting – God’s catalyst for growth  (Romans 4:18-21) Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations… {20} Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, {21} being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.
