2 What’s the point? Vision: To develop competent, capable, caring leaders through the vehicle of service. Mission: An international, student-led organization providing its members with opportunities to perform service, build character, and develop leadership.

4 What is Student-led? Key Club members decide how:  Club will function  Budget will be administered  Issues will be addressed From the club to the International Board young men and women are leading their organization.

5 Structure: Key Club Structure Members Club board of directors Clubs Divisions 33 Districts District boards International Council: Board and Governors International Board of trustees

6 Structure: Club board of directors  Includes officers and class directors.  Deal with these matters:  Administration and planning of club.  Business of club. a)Membership b)Budget c)Planning

7 Structure: Who is on the district board? Voting Members:  Governor  Secretary  Treasurer  Lieutenant Governor Non-Voting Members:  Committee Chairs  Executive Assistant  Editor  Webmaster

8 Structure: What do they do?  Direct link to clubs.  Provides mentoring, education and knowledge of service opportunities.  Holds divisional council meetings.  Provides training for club officers and personal development.

9 Structure: Key Club dues  International Dues: $6.50  District Dues: average $4.50-6.50 Not to exceed International Dues  Club: average US $6.50

11 Global Service: Major Emphasis Program A service program to bring together all Key Club members to focus energies on making an international impact benefiting children. a) The Service Initiative b) Service partnerships c) Serving children by any means

12 Programs: Key Club Week  Each day places an emphasis on service; including a Key Club Week fundraising project.  Objective is to promote Key Club and seek media coverage, to make Key Club a household name.

13 Resources: Key Club Video Magazine  New videos every other week.  Current and engaging video stories about the members and clubs. View at www.keyclub.org

15 Adult Support: Adults are your friends  Faculty Advisors: Assist the club officers with business and ensure permissions are granted, etc.  Kiwanis Advisors: Assist the club in financial support and hold joint projects between the Key Club and the Kiwanis Club  Zone Administrators: Primarily assist the LTGs and other advisors, but are also always there to help with questions and concerns.
