HANDLE WITH CARE! (hold by arm and base) Start on lowest power first, then work your way to higher power. ALWAYS adjust at the nosepiece, NOT by turning the objective lens Use COURSE FOCUS first, then fine focus. Be mindful of the stage, so that you don’t crush the specimen
