3. Security The feeling of being safe and comfortable in the classroom setting. A set of class rules and behavior charts help to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for the students.

4. Social Contact The interaction among students and the interaction between teacher and students. The students seating arrangements are set up a large tables for easy communication for the kids. This also allows easy communication from the teachers in groups and as a whole class.

5. Symbolic Identification The information provided by a setting about the people who spend time there. While learning about shadows, the students had the outline of their silhouettes traced. The teacher displayed them on the wall.

6. Task Instrumentality The many ways the environment helps us to carry out the tasks we need to accomplish in the classroom. Daily jobs for students and and organization bins assist with task instrumentality.

7. Pleasure An attractive and pleasing environment Bright colors, rugs and a couch area make the classroom and more attractive and warm learning environment.

8. Growth When the setting promotes children’s cognitive development and academic achievement. Word walls, the alphabet on display and the daily schedule to read as a class assist with cognitive development in literacy.
