4. Quick Facts:  Gemstones were used in jewelry designs. Some of the  gemstones used were Turquoise and Amethyst. (Like the one I am wearing today)  Egyptians did wear a lot of gold, when they could afford to.  Some of the Jewelry designs came in different shapes such as, Winded Birds, Scrolls, and Jackals.

5. Can you believe that some of the Jewelry is buried with the bodies, for example: crowns and hair bands. On the heads or wigs, they had different types of ornaments, such as small roses and golden bands. Other types of jewelry included earrings, bracelets, anklets, rings, and necklaces.

6.  Egyptian Cartouches were worn only by the pharaohs or kings of Ancient Egypt.  The Cartouches featured there names, artists created.  Hieroglyphs were sort of like our alphabet used today, but they were symbols instead of letters.

7.  Simple natural fibers were used such as plant branches, shells, stones and bones.  Materials were arranged in threads of flax or cow hair – Wow!  Some Egyptians painted them with glass substances.  Men also used to wear Jewelry in ancient times.
