5 CURRENCY GUIDELINE: EXCEPTIONS 2)Acceptable currencies are: USD customer based in USA, GBP for UK customers, EUR for all other customers in EUR and rest of world. 3) Adoption of any other currency should be avoided. If a different currency is essential to close the deal with the customer, site finance head should be consulted. If a contract is agreed in a different currency from Base Currency, then the price to customer should take into account the expected future trend in the currency. If a material (>100k) adverse trend is envisaged, an increase in the price should be added to protect margin expectations. In large contracts (>1m Base currency) and > 6 months of works, more complex clauses can be added to protect against exchange rate risk. If this is needed, CFO and Legal EVP need to consulted.
