9 Reading Problem – As a roller coaster car reaches the bottom of a slop and begins to go up the next slope, it’s acceleration, combined with the downward pull of gravity, can make you feel 3 ½ times as heavy as you really are! This sensation is called SUPERGRAVITY! How heavy would a 120 pound person experiencing Supergravity feel ! Answer

10 Multiply 3 ½ × 120 pounds = I would feel…. 420 pounds…. WOW!

11 Why do we need to learn how to multiply fractions? Are you a…… Chicken - OR - Brave Heart Using math to calculate how I would feel during “Supergravity” would convince me NOT to go on the ride!

12 Over the past several days we have multiplied fractions using visual models. Today, we will learn a more traditional method to multiply fractions and mixed numbers. Let’s get started! Today’s Lesson Not handling super gravity very well.
