9. Retakes Retakes will be available on one test per semester. Practice tests are given before the regular test. This gives the students an opportunity to gauge what they should study. Retakes are the students’ responsibility to come and take care of corrections.

10. Late Homework Late homework will be accepted until the end of the given unit. After that all missing assignments will turn into a 0. Late homework must be fully completed for credit

Common Core Math Content remains the same, almost...except 8th grade math… Emphasis on writing, speaking, understanding, and creating (modeling) in addition to procedures Modeling: using math to describe things in the world outside of the classroom walls Methodology involves collaborative problem solving as well as individual work
