1 Space On Mars Reach Mars is the fourth planet  from the sun  and the second smallest planet in the S. Named after the Roman god of war it is often described as the "Red Planet", as the  prevalent on its surface gives it a reddish appearance. Mars is a  planet with a thin atmosphere, having surface features reminiscent both of the impact craters of the Moon and the volcanoes, valleys, deserts, and polar ice caps of Earth. The rotational period and seasonal cycles of Mars are likewise similar to those of Earth, as is the tilt that produces the seasons. Mars is the site of Olympus Mons, the second highest known mountain within the Solar System (the tallest on a planet), and of Valleys Mars is the fourth planet  from the sun  and the second smallest planet in the S. 2 How many kilometres meters from earth to mars
Sending spacecraft to Mars is all about precision. It’s about blasting off from Earth with a controlled explosion, launching a robot into space in the direction of the Red Planet, navigating the intervening distance between our two planets, and landing with incredible precision. This intricate and complicated manoeuvre means knowing the exact distance from Earth to Mars. And unfortunately, this distance is always changing.

3 How hot or cold is it on mars question
Mars is hot and and little cold On mars

4 What is mars made of Mars is made of rock and iron Oxides. It’s surface is covered in mountains, volcanoes, valleys, ice caps and dried up river beds. Mars is also very dry like a desert. It is also red because of the iron oxide in the pulverized rock dust.

5 What is the distance across mars to our planet earth
Both Earth and Mars are following elliptical orbits around the Sun, like two cars travelling at different speeds on two different racetracks. Sometimes the planets are close together, and other times they’re on opposite sides of the Sun. And although they get close and far apart, those points depend on where the planets are on their particular orbits. So, the Earth Mars distance is changing from minute to minute.

6 What are the names of mar’s moons
When most people think of a moon, they think of the relatively large whitish globe that they see at night and sometimes during the day. While this is a moon, it is not typical of moons in the solar system. In fact, earth has the largest moon in the solar system, relative to the planet's size, if you don't include Pluto. Most other moons are much smaller than their host planet. Mars' moons are no exception. With Phobis measuring 13.4x9.2 km (8.3x5.7 miles) and Deimos at 7.5x5.2 km (4.7x3.2 miles), they are runts compared to Mars' size. Spacecraft sent to Mars have photographed the moons. Phobis has craters of all sized on it; it also has long grooves radiating from its largest crater. Deimos has a few small craters. Its surface is covered by a fine dust, but it also has boulders on it - some as large as a house. Mars' moons also orbit very close to Mars. The illustration to the right

7 Special features. Does it have volcanoes, craters, rings
It doesn't appear so . There has been no direct observation of orbiting dust rings. However, some Yes there are volcanoes on mars

8 Who is planet mars named after
Mars is named after the roman God

9 Thanks for watching my power point of space
