3 Habitat Polar animals habitats are usually found in the coldest part of the world. The walrus lives at the freezing part of the Arctic. Walrus live in icy cold oceans by the North Pole. In the spring Walrus float on ice blocks. The white and gray and melted ice blocks. Walrus are mainly with in the Arctic circle. Polar animals live in the Arctic.

4 Life Cycle The life cycle of a Walrus is interesting. Baby walruses are called calves. Walrus pups have short and soft hair covering their bodies, pale grey flippers and a thick, white moustache with no visible teeth. After their first year, Walrus pups are almost triple the size and begin to become more and more independent. Walruses live to 35-40 years. Walruses are born on ice. A Walrus life cycle is very nice.

5 Diet The walrus has a special polar diet. They can eat clams and also eat other sea animals. Walruses eat 120 fish in one meal. They dive under water to catch food. The walrus has a few predators. They are polar bears and artic wolves, but also people! Walruses are the coolest animals because of their diet.

6 Appearance A walrus’s appearance is very unique. Walrus’s have tusks that have rings and they are like tree trunks. There tusks are 3 feet long. Walrus’s have a layer of blubber to keep them warm in the cold weather. Also they use their tusks to pull them out of the water. They can change colors from pink to brown. Walrus tusks never stop growing. Also if a walrus is in cold water it has white skin. They also have for flippers. A walrus’s appearance is very unique. 7 Fun Facts  The rings on the tusks tells the walrus age.  2,000 walrus live in a herd.  They can eat 6,000 clams in one meal.  Walruses snore loudly. 
