Lidija Globevnik, TC VODE The share of inland bathing waters with poor and sufficient quality has not decreased; some BWs poor-quality were delisted or temporarily closed –Some change quality classification (from poor to sufficient) due to exclusion of samples taken during short-term pollutions or abnormal situations; this is legal but shows environmental issues that can also be connected to other environmental management systems (such as urban rain water drainage, agricultural pollution, flooding) Brief research showed correlations of BW quality with population and urban water emissions, but Further data mining/investigation will be performed on: –short-term pressures (overspills of rain urban water etc.) –micro-location factors of environmental quality Poor-quality BWs correlated to population density
