7 Characteristics of False Teachers 2 Pet. 2:10-16 Worldly life - v. 10 Lust of flesh Despise authority Angels hear but leave judgment to God - v. 11 Brute beasts - v. 12 Satisfy their own desires Eventually will perish Abandoned in sin - v. 13 Spots and Blemishes “lamb without blemish and without Spot” 1 Pet.1:19

10 Fate of False Teachers & Followers 2 Pet.2:20-22 Had Been Faithful Escaped from world - through Jesus Entangled again Worse Two Pictures Dog returning to vomit Sow washed returned to mud hole

11 TRUTH ON THE SCAFFOLD Truth forever on the scaffold Wrong forever on the throne Yet that scaffold sways the future And behind the dim unknown Standeth God within the shadow Keeping watch above his own.

12 Have nothing to offer of any value Father of all false teachers = DEVIL The Devil has never given one good thing to man

13 Are of Great Value Wells of living water for pilgrims seeking relief from the thirst caused by a sinful life. Romans 10:15 “And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”
