2  A. Careers in Ag. Mechanics  1. Attracts students interested in operation, maintenance, service, and selling of agricultural equipment  2. Varied careers in Production support such as tractor mechanic, farm machinery assembler, ag safety engineer

3  3. Careers also in horticulture such as irrigation engineer, lawn mower mechanic, Ag Equipment designer  4. Education varies with the type of agriscience mechanics career chosen and working conditions

4 Agricultural Engineering Tools and Materials used in Agriculture

5 Turning Tools  Used to turn nuts, bolts, or screws  1. Adjustable wrench – turns various size nuts and bolts  2. Phillips screwdriver – turns Phillips head screws.  3. Pipe wrench – used to turn and hold pipe

6  4. Regular socket – general-purpose socket for turning nuts and bolts  5. Slotted screw driver – used to turn slotted screws.

7 Cutting Tools Used to cut, chop, saw, or otherwise remove material
