That the Bible really is the word of God – 1 Ths. 2:13; 2 Tim. 3:16-17

5. I want to be sure about… What I must do to be saved
Sure that you are a sinner? (Rom. 3:23)
Sure you want to be saved? (Rom. 6:23)
Will you trust & obey God’s grace & truth? (Rom. 5:8; Eph. 1:7; Rom. 1:16)
Will you obey the gospel?
Believe in Christ (Heb. 11:6; Jno. 8:24)
Confess your faith (Matt. 10:32-33)
Repent of your sins (Lk. 13:3, 5; Acts 17:30)
Be baptized (Acts 2:38; 22:16; 1 Pet. 3:21)

6. I want to be sure about… My ability to remain faithful
Will never be faithful if you do not begin – Acts 22:16
Will always be faithful if you do what Bible says is right – 1 Jno. 1:7; 2:3-6
You can achieve what others before you have accomplished – Heb. 10:32-35
With endurance – Heb. 10:36-39
You will be tempted, but you can escape & stand – 1 Cor. 10:12-13; Eph. 6:13; Jas. 4:7

7. I want to be sure about… My eternal destiny
You can be sure of heaven by being a faithful Christian – 1 Jno. 5:11-13; 2 Tim. 1:12
There is no confidence of heaven if you are disobedient to Christ – 2 Ths. 1: 8-9 (Phil. 3:19)

8. Dangers Delay – Acts 22:16; 16:33 Excuses – Acts 24:24-25
Missed opportunities – Prov. 27:1
Hardened heart – Heb. 3:7-8, 13
Becomes easier to say “no” (Eph. 4:19; Eccl. 12:1)
Do not refuse Him who speaks to you! (Heb. 12:25)

9. The Question For You
Are you sure of your spiritual safety? (Are you saved or lost?)
Do you want to be saved & go to heaven?
Then, obey gospel & be saved!
If you delay & die, you will be forever lost in your sin!
