3. Multiply Number multiplies to number Variables add the exponents Monomial to binomial or trinomial Distribute what is outside parenthesis to everything inside the parenthesis

Binomial Multiplication FOIL helps us to remember what to multiple Result should be 4 terms, but usually two of them can combine F(irst) – first term in each binomial O(utside) – first term in first binomial and second term in second binomial I(nside) – second term is first binomial and first term in second binomial L(ast) – second term in first binomial and second term in second binomial
