6 doc.: IEEE 802.11-07/0648r5 Submission July 2007 Adrian Stephens, Intel CorporationSlide 6 Process for Draft D2.04 Working version D 2.03 –The ~419 approved technical resolutions were (attempted to be) implemented –This working draft and the comment resolutions/edit notes were sent to review Review –A review panel of volunteers checked resolutions/edit notes against draft D2.03 and reported any defects of editing –A total of 99 defects were reported D2.04 –The defects were addressed by editing the TGn draft and updating the comment resolutions/edit notes –Unapproved Draft 2.04 was released and the edit notes in 11-07-0366 were published at the end of June 2007

7 doc.: IEEE 802.11-07/0648r5 Submission July 2007 Adrian Stephens, Intel CorporationSlide 7 Status of comments approved in May Status as in 11-07-0366-04-000n-tgn-lb97-editor-comments.xls In tab “Edited in D2.03” –EI (implemented as specified in the resolution): 165 –EM (edited with modifications noted in the editor’s notes): 46 Resolution of conflicts Editorial changes – e.g. terminology, grammar –EN (nothing to do - covered by another resolution): 149 e.g. when the same resolution is cut and paste to multiple resolutions –Includes a 17 editorial comments moved from “Edited in D2.02” with updated edit status/notes indicating conflict with approved technical resolutions. (e.g. grammar change in subclause removed by technical resolution) In tab “Recycled from D2.03” –EMR (edit with mods, recycle - speculative edits require consideration by TGn): 16 –ER (recycle - could not action resolution): 2 e.g. conflict with no obvious resolution that keeps the intention of the resolution Or, the editor’s can’t understand how to implement the resolution In tab “Approved Rejects” –All approved rejects (76 technical approved in May) –A “reject” comment implies no work for the editor! –Nothing entered in “edit status/notes” for these comments
