1 Overall summary of missing values VariablesCasesValues Supplementary Figure 1. Overall summary of missing values. Variables represents the ratio of missing parameters overall. Cases represent the ratio of patients with complete data. Values represent the ratio of single variables available for every patient. Index 1-Sensitivity Specificity Supplementary Figure 2. Discrimination of scoring models was calculated via the area under the receiver-operating characteristic curve (AUC). *indicates a p value < 0.01.

3 Supplementary Figure 3. Modification of ERAS. Free blood was implemented into ERAS. The new parameter was scored with 1 point and replaced by "level of hemoglobin" (not significant in the univariate analysis). The AUC of the modified ERAS was improved (0.75; 95% CI 0.65 − 0.86; p <0.01 versus 0.71; 95% CI 0.60 − 0.82; p = 0.001) and showed a high accuracy in calibration (χ 2 = 0.04; p=0.98). In-hospital survival 1-Sensitivity Specificity AB Modified ERAS ERAS
