2 About Duncanville ISD 850 TEACHERS 19 SCHOOLS 13,500 STUDENTS

3 More than your average “Technology Department”

4 DISD Classroom Ecosystem Prior to the classroom standardization and ecosystem re-development you could only find pockets of technology and usage through out the district. What do you mean “Ecosystem” The classroom ecosystem is more then just a desk and a white board. It’s a way that you can integrate all components of technology into part of the classroom to become a seamlessly connected environment. This ecosystem also expands beyond the four walls of the classroom into various software and hardware applications district wide. In Duncanville ISD we wanted to start redefining what our classrooms would look like with technology. Empowering not only our teachers but our students as well.

5 DISD Classroom Ecosystem Timeline January 2014: District wide technology audit June 2014 : Established IDEA HUB Nov 2014 : Passed Bond election including 17.5 million bond package January 2015: Staff technology level baselines established March 2015: Classroom Standards developed June 2015: Ecosystem re-development launched Aug-Dec 2015: 60% of all classrooms completed May 2016: All classrooms completed
