2 Week 2 Vocabulary Subject: What you see in an artwork. Theme: The idea or topic that the artist expresses through his or her subject. Style: A similarity you see in a group of artworks. Nonobjective: Art that shows line shape, color, or form and suggests a mood or feeling, but has no recognizable subject. Four General Style Categories: Fantasy, Realism, Expressionism, Abstraction
