4 Core Skills Assessment (AS/AL) A set of core skills is compiled and categorized in 20 groups, for simplicityA set of core skills is compiled and categorized in 20 groups, for simplicity Date, time & scope of each assessment are fixed by teachers according to their teaching schedules Apply (tailor) the suggested tasks for core skills assessment, or assess students through various individual tasks in school

5 Core Skills Assessment (AS/AL) Supplementary assessments can be held to provide feedback to students, to the learning process, and to examine the progress of the learners Teachers should provide formative feedback to students and encourage them to keep a portfolio of their own work Teachers are required to keep assessment records for scrutinyassessment records

6 Project (AS/AL) A project/coursework comprises a written report and a product in CD (if any) Project/coursework titles are released to schools 8-10 months before the submission deadline Teachers are required to submit 3 samples of students’ projects to HKEAA for scrutiny
