4 Advanced Placement  Students with level 4-5 FSA Scores or who want to challenge themselves academically  National exam given in May determines whether your score is high enough and your particular college of choice will give you college credit.  For the college bound student who enjoys challenging and thought provoking curriculum

5 AP Capstone  Ap Seminar  Grades 10-11  Foundational course that provides students the opportunity to critically and creatively, research, explore, pose solutions, develop arguments, collaborate.  Students explore real-world issues  Assessed through two course performance tasks and a written exam  AP Research  Grades 11-12  Allows students to design, plan and conduct a yearlong research-based investigation on a topic of individual interest  Students are assess through culminating performance tasks  Students may be concurrently registered for Biotechnology is their research is science based

8 New Program of Emphasis for 16-17 School year  Cybersecurity  Year One: IT Fundamentals  This course introduces students to the essential concepts, components, terminology, and knowledge about computers, computer systems, peripherals and networks  Years Two to Four-Sequence to be determined

9 Programs of Emphasis  Entrepreneurship  Introduces the broad spectrum of business, industry, and small business initiatives  4 year program  Culinary Arts  Allows students to explore all facets of the culinary field, including entrepreneurship, in an industry-standard commercial kitchen  This program has an industry certification  4 year program

15 Merit Pathway Diploma Purpose  Provides a diploma option to students who pass an Industry Certification course and test leading to college credit. Industry Certification

16 Merit Pathway Diploma Industry certification leading to college credit may replace 2 math credits excluding Algebra 1 and Geometry Industry Certification  Requires same courses as standard diploma pathway Industry certification leading to college credit may replace 1 science credit excluding Biology

20 SCPS Scholars with Distinction Students entering 9th grade in 2010-11 3.75 Cumulative Weighted GPA Three years/ consecutive levels in the same World Language 6 credits in AP or IB classes Earn A or B grades Two A or B Dual Enrollment credits may be applied to this requirement

21 SCPS Scholars with Distinction Meet all the requirements for Scholars Pathway Diploma And Complete 1 credit in AP Seminar or equivalent with an A or B OR 4th year of same World Language OR 1 extra AP, IB or Dual Enrollment credit beyond Scholars Pathway Diploma =Scholar With Distinction

25 Florida Medallion Scholars  *1170 SAT or *26 ACT (excluding writing)  3.0 Weighted academic GPA  Approximately $77 per credit hour at 4 year school or approximately $44 per credit hour toward an Associates Degree at a 2 year school  75 Hours Community Service *class of 2015-16 requirement

26 Florida Gold Seal  weighted 3.0 G.P.A.  Can be used toward a Career Certificate Program or Technical Degree (can no longer be used for an AA degree)  3.5 in required vocational courses  Approx. $48 tuition & fees for Technical Certificate (Does not apply toward an AA)  PERT or SAT or ACT  30 Hours Community Service
