3. Smoke-Free Apartment Policy

4. Smoke-Free Housing Enforcement Policy Homeport’s smoke free properties are smoke free campuses. This means there is no smoking in the building, outside the building, or on the campus. Residents who are found smoking will be given two warnings prior to eviction. The smoke free properties effectively operate on a three strikes program.

5. FIRST STRIKE: If a resident is found to be smoking on the property, the property manager will notify resident and Community Life. The property manager and service coordinator have a conversation with the resident. The service coordinator will contact the Columbus Health Department and set up an appointment with the Breathing Association for a cessation class. SECOND STRIKE: If a resident is found to be smoking on the property, the property manager will notify resident and Community Life. The property manager and service coordinator have a conversation with the resident. THIRD STRIKE: Resident will be given a 30 day notice for eviction.
