Revelation Summary…To Date Chapter 1 is a view of our Christ enthroned, and a description of Him. There is a special blessing. Chapter 2 and 3 tells us about the 7 churches, and prophetic picture of the church today Chapter 4 a view of heaven; living creatures, the elders, and the church Chapter 5 God is own His throne, and we find out that Jesus Christ is the only one worthy to open the seals (title deed to earth) Chapter 6 open the seals; The Four Horseman, Tribulation Saints, and Celestial Devastation (Chaos and Panic) The Unsaved Try to Hide From God

Revelation Summary…To Date Chapter 7 is a parenthesis or a pause between opening the 6 th and 7 th seals on the scroll in Heaven. He saw four Angels standing at the four corners of the Earth. The numbers of those Sealed, 144,000. A great multitude that no one could number…

Revelation 8 When the Lamb opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. Then John saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them. And another angel came and stood at the altar with a golden censer, and he was given much incense to offer with the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar before the throne, and the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose before God from the hand of the angel. Then the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and threw it on the earth, and there were peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning, and an earthquake. Now the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to blow them. The first angel blew his trumpet, and there followed hail and fire, mixed with blood, and these were thrown upon the earth. And a third of the earth was burned up, and a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.

Revelation 8 – First Four Judgements The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain, burning with fire, was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. A third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed. The third angel blew his trumpet, and a great star fell from heaven, blazing like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood and many people died from the water, because it had been made bitter. The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of their light might be darkened, and a third of the day might be kept from shining, and likewise a third of the night. Then I looked, and I heard an eagle crying with a loud voice as it flew directly overhead, “Woe, woe, woe to those who dwell on the earth, at the blasts of the other trumpets that the three angels are about to blow!” (Revelation 8:1-13 ESV)

Revelation 8 When the Lamb opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour: We have already seen the silence, and now we see the supplication (prayer). Then the trumpets are sounding a note…a call for the people to wake up and listen. There's been 30 minutes of silence. And another angel (not one of the seven angels) came and stood at the altar with a golden censer; and much incense was given to him, that he might add it to the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

Revelation 8 Now we see the preparation that is taking place prior to the opening of this 7th seal. The 7th seal containing 14 more judgments from God. Seven angels sound the trumpet of warning, or a rallying cry, a saying, "The King is coming.“ And then we see another angel comes. And he brings a censer. A small container that holds hot coals. And now another angel goes to the brazen alter, where a sacrifice is made for sin. The [another angel] is performing the duties of a high priest from the Old Testament.

Revelation 8 This is a symbolical in that sin has been confessed, and sin has been forgiven. And now he takes those coals and he puts them on the golden altar. And it mixes with the incense. And now God hears the prayers of another angel. And the prayers of another angel are mixed in with the prayers of all the saints. This is a moment of preparation for the judgment of this world, for the turning back of the curse, for the re-establishment in this world of the rule and the reign of God through Jesus Christ. Now who is this "another angel?“…It's Jesus Christ Himself. (Go back to Revelation 8:1)

Revelation 8 And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, went up before God out of the angel 's hand (this is Jesus' hand). See what happened? Jesus came. Sacrifice was given for our sins. Everyone who accepts Jesus is forgiven, made right through His perfect sacrifice, the Lamb on Calvary. We see Jesus is praying for us. When we pray to God, our prayers go through Jesus Christ, we have no standing but through Jesus Christ. So when we pray Jesus makes sense out of our nonsense, by mingling His prayers with ours before God on the Throne.

Revelation 8 But look at the next picture. Here, Jesus goes to the brazen altar, He gets the coals out of the censer. And He throws them down to the earth. (end of Revelation 8:5) Next…And the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound them. We need to understand…All of the godly in the earth are preparing for this world to be turned back over to the Lord. So in the preparation there is silence, then there is supplication in which Jesus Christ, (called another angel), takes the petitions and gets us right with Him. And then the another angel takes those coals

Revelation 8, and he dumps them out into the world. And there is thunder, lightning, hail, fire, and judgment. This is telling us that Jesus Christ comes to us today in grace and in love. But at this time, He will come to those who are outside of Jesus Christ, as judge. (Think about the Lords Prayer, Thy kingdom come…we are praying for His second coming)

Four Trumpet Judgements The first angel blew his trumpet, and there followed hail and fire, mixed with blood, and these were thrown upon the earth. And a third of the earth was burned up, and a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up. This is a judgement on vegetation. One third of all the trees in this world will be eliminated. All the grass will die. What do you think that will do to our society? (Famine, hardship, starvation, other?).

Four Trumpet Judgements The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain, burning with fire, was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. A third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed. This is a judgment upon the sea. Today We see contamination and the pollution of water supply. We talk about those fish and porpoises that are found on beaches. And we see the whales that come inland. Now we see whole millions and millions of fish suddenly they just disappear or they die and they are thrown into the shore. Now imagine that multiplied by ten thousand times ten thousand.

Four Trumpet Judgements The third angel blew his trumpet, and a great star fell from heaven, blazing like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood and many people died from the water, because it had been made bitter. Now judgment upon the earth, our water supply is attacked. In Revelation 6 we saw heavens were divided. Rearrangement of the celestial order. Content falling to earths waters. The waters become bitter (wormwood).

Four Trumpet Judgements The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of their light might be darkened, and a third of the day might be kept from shining, and likewise a third of the night. This is a judgment against all of the heavenly bodies. One third of the stars, one third of the things in the atmosphere are eliminated against all of the heavenly bodies, and darkness covers the earth. It seems like God will say to those who do not believe…they squandered time because, they have not believed.

Four Trumpet Judgements Then I looked, and I heard an eagle crying with a loud voice as it flew directly overhead, “Woe, woe, woe to those who dwell on the earth, at the blasts of the other trumpets that the three angels are about to blow!” This is telling us that if you think this has been a horrible picture of judgment at the end of time, as God, through Christ is reclaiming the world, " He is saying, "You think this has been tough up till now? This is only the beginning, only the beginning.
