5 Although Jodi Sweetin started life as a successful child actor, she unfortunately drifted into drug addiction. Many people are unable to live up to their early potential.The difficulty of living up to early expectations is a theme in the poems "Ex- Basketball Player" by John Updike and "miss rosie" by Lucille Clifton.
