Disassemble notes: To disassemble the shaft assay, pipette lower part must be disconnected (unscrewed) from the handle. Tip ejector may be unscrewed only after pipette lower part is detached from handle. All above mentioned models allow sealing replacement without disassemble of a whole shaft set – for details see p.7-10. Assembly operations presented with the 0.5÷10μl model! Following hints applicable to models: DP2, DP10 DP20, DP100 Pipette parts assemble ‘example 1’

312 1. Place compression elements inside the shaft holder. [insert in order: compression bush and spring, then blocking bush] 3. Put the pipeting spring on the piston, place parts in the shaft holder. Fix it with the shaft cap. Shaft cap must be screwed tightly, by turning clockwise! 2. Apply a thin layer of grease on the cleaned piston. The piston needs to be moistured slightly, remove any excess of grease! Pipette parts assemble ‘example 1’

4 5 5. Fix the tip ejector to shaft holder. It is possible to select the position the tip ejector is screwed-in - this allows to reduce to minimum the gap between ejector and attached tip! 6. Attach the whole set to the handle. 4. Place the seal on the piston. Hat shape (wider) end towards shaft holder! Then place the o-ring and screw-in shaft. Fix the shaft tightly! Poor fixing may result in shaft unfastening, bad precision and leakage. Pipette parts assemble ‘example 1’

8 9 8. Unscrew the shaft from the shaft holder. Piston tip and sealing parts will uncover. In case of extensive contamination it is advised to replace the sealing parts and to examine the condition of the piston (it must be removed from the shaft holder)! 10. Attach the whole set to the handle. 7. Detach pipette lower part from the handle and unscrew the tip ejector. Sealing replacement procedure In models DP2 to DP100 it is possible to perform a quick sealing maintenance thanks to use of detachable lower part of the shaft assay. 9. Screw-in the shaft and the tip ejector. Pipette parts assemble ‘example 1’

Assembly operations presented with the 20÷200μl model! Following hints applicable to models: DP200 & DP1000 Disassemble notes: To disassemble the shaft assay, pipette lower part must be disconnected (unscrewed) from the handle. Tip ejector may be unscrewed only after pipette lower part is detached from handle. Shaft in these models is not divided – sealing replacement is possible only after piston removal. Pipette parts assemble ‘example 2’

231 2. Put the pipeting spring on the piston, then put the compression elements. [insert in order: blocking bush, compression spring and bush] 1. Apply a thin layer of grease on the cleaned piston. The piston needs to be moistured slightly, remove any excess of grease! 3. Place the piston on the shaft cap, squeeze compression elements to allow insering of seal and o-ring. Put seal with it’s wider, „Hat shape” end towards compression bush! In order to keep all parts together, hold the blocking bush tightly with the shaft cap. Pipette parts assemble ‘example 2’

4 5 4. Place the shaft on the piston. Do not release the grip on the piston parts before shaft is in place - the spring tention may cause the o-ring displacement and as a result pipette untightness. Compress all parts and fix with the shaft cap. Shaft cap must be screwed tightly, by turning clockwise! 5. Fix the tip ejector to shaft holder. It is possible to select the position to which the tip ejector is screwed-in - this allows to reduce to minimum the gap between ejector and attached tip! 6. Attach the whole set to the handle. Pipette parts assemble ‘example 2’
