The Law 3374 regarding the Quality Assurance of the Higher Education was enacted by the Hellenic Parliament in 2005 The law established the process and An independent authority responsible for the implementation of the law The main objectives of the law are to recognize the achievements and the areas for improvement of the Higher Education Institutions

External Evaluations Subject evaluations (Departments and Programmes of studies) undergo external reviews at the end of every four years, the focus is on the academic performance Institutional evaluations follow the completion of the external ones of all the Departments of a HEI, the focus is on the effectiveness of the management of a HEI
