The Clearinghouse assigns the following values to each letter grade: A – 4 points C - 2 points A – 4 points C - 2 points B – 3 points D – 1 point B – 3 points D – 1 point Plus or Minus will not be used to calculate your core-course grade-point average.

7 To be certified by the Clearinghouse, a student must: 1. Graduate from high school. Apply to Clearinghouse in second semester of junior year An eligible athlete will be certified after the completion of their 8 th semester of study.

8 To be certified by the Clearinghouse, a student must: 2. Earn a grade-point average of at least 2.00 (on a 4.00 scale) in a core curriculum of at least 16 core academic courses successfully completed during grades 9 through 12. Only courses that satisfy the NCAA definition of a core course can be used to calculate the NCAA GPA. No special values are allowed for “+” or “-” grades.
