5  Apothem—the line segment from the center of a regular polygon to the midpoint of a side  Side—a line segment on the polygon  Radius—the line segment from the center of a regular polygon to a vertex

6 You can divide regular polygons into congruent isosceles triangles by drawing segments from the center of the polygon to each vertex. The center of the polygon is actually the center of the circumscribed circle, so these congruent segments are sometimes called the radii of a regular polygon.
